Ranks of black coaches dwindle with Sylvester Croom's resignation

This article reports that another black head coach has resigned. Sylvester Croom of Mississippi State University resigned after a 4-8 record this season one year after he won the 2007 South Eastern Conference (SEC) coach of the year. Croom was the first black head coach in SEC history. Croom was 21-38 in five season at Mississippi State before his resign.
